The Victory Crew is a grassroots community that raises funds and awareness for the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s. There are many ways to fundraise, including riding in the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic – register here today!
You can join people like Durango’s own Joe Williams was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2010. He was encouraged by his doctor to stay active as a way to keep active pathways in his brain working. Joe started a cycling community called “Go Joe Go” with 30 teammates; he’s an inspiration to others by staying active and living well with Parkinson’s.
In addition to helping the over 1 million people in the USA to live well with Parkinson’s, you’ll be eligible for great incentives including a pre-event “Ride with Ruthie.” Ruthie is another amazing Durango rider, a 5-time national champion, an Olympian and a member of the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. You’ll join her for a casual ride and then enjoy a Happy Hour celebration of the Victory Crew team!
In 2015, the Victory Crew contributed over 35% of the Foundation’s total revenue. However, it’s not just about fundraising. The Victory Crew embodies our mission and values that inspires friends, family and coworkers to support people with Parkinson’s.
