Two races. One mountain crown. Put your fitness and skills to the test in the King / Queen of the Mountain omnium, combining the Road Race and Mountain Bike Race for an overall prize list.
This competition rewards the all-around rider. Earn points based on your finishing place in each event, with the Road Race finish serving as the tiebreaker. See the points scale below.
- Road Race — Saturday, May 29, 2027
- Category starts begin at 7:15 a.m. at 33rd Street and 2nd Avenue, Durango. See the Road Race schedule below for your start time.
- Road Race Parking
- Please do not park in the City Market parking lot. Limited parking is available on East 3rd Avenue between East 29th and East 32nd Streets. Carpool or bike to the start whenever possible.
- Mountain Bike — Sunday, May 30, 2027
- Wave starts begin at 8:30 a.m. Start and finish at Buckley Park, 1250 Main Avenue, Durango. See the Mountain Bike schedule below for your start time.
Registration & Bib Pickup
Riders who register on or before May 1 will receive their bib number by mail, except for Colorado residents and international riders who must pick up their packets at packet pickup.

Number Plate Placement
- Road Race: Secure your number plate to your seat post using zip ties or twist ties.
- Mountain Bike Race: Secure your number plate to your handlebars using zip ties or twist ties.
Do not bend or curve either plate, and keep your number visible throughout each event. Improper placement may result in incorrect timing. See the Need to Know document for placement photos.
Road Race Cutoff Times
- Coal Bank Pass: Riders must be past the pass by 12:40 p.m.
- Molas Pass: Riders must be past the pass by 1:20 p.m.
- Road reopening: All riders must be off the road by 1:30 p.m.
Important Road Race Information
- Plan your return trip. Bicyclists are not permitted to ride back to Durango. Arrange private transportation.
- No team or support vehicles. Due to the road closure, these vehicles are not allowed on the course.
- Be self-sufficient. Four official support stations are available along the course.
- Observe the yellow-line rule. It applies to the entire course, including the closed-road portion.
- Watch for emergency vehicles. Stay alert and use caution throughout the race.
All registrations are final. No refunds or transfers. If the event is canceled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, there will be no reimbursement, rollover, or postponement unless otherwise noted during online registration.
